Muhieddin Salem, the foreign affairs minister of Sudan's government backed by the Sudanese Armed Forces, or SAF, said his government had "conclusive" and "material" evidence that Ukraine provided military assistance to the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, or RSF, Sudan Tribune reported on Oct. 31. Salem said an unspecified number of Ukrainian military personnel had been killed or captured fighting alongside the RSF and that Kyiv provided the paramilitary group with training on drone use to target civilian facilities, adding that the SAF-backed government had recorded these activities with the U.N. Security Council.
