On Oct. 24, Pakistani authorities reopened the Taftan and Gabd-Rimdan border crossings between Pakistan and Iran in southwestern Balochistan province after a weeklong closure over security concerns, Arab News reported on Oct. 26. Before the suspension, Pakistan imported approximately 7,000 metric tons of liquefied petroleum gas daily from Iran, including more than 4,000 metric tons through Gabd-Rimdan alone.
