The United Kingdom will deploy an undisclosed number of RAF Typhoon jets to protect Saudi population centers and critical infrastructure from Houthi missile and drone attacks from Yemen without conducting offensive strikes, the Ministry of Defence said in an Oct. 20 statement. The country will also send military advisers and an A400M transport aircraft to move defense equipment within Saudi Arabia, and will extend its air-to-air refueling support for Saudi defensive operations by 90 days.
