Central African Republic President Faustin-Archange Touadera is reportedly preparing to sign a new agreement in Bangui in November with former rebel leaders Mahamat al-Khatim of the Patriotic Movement for the Central African Republic, Ali Darassa of the Union for Peace in the Central African Republic, and Abdel "Sembe Bobo" Kader of Return, Reclamation, Rehabilitation, Jeune Afrique reported on Oct. 19. The agreement aims to consolidate earlier peace arrangements by facilitating the leaders' political reintegration and building on commitments to dissolve their groups' political and military wings and pursue disarmament, demobilization and reintegration.
