Two cargo vessels sank around the Strait of Hormuz in recent days after being struck by projectiles, marking the second and third vessels to sink in the region since the start of the Iran conflict in February, CNN reported on Oct. 15. According to reports from the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations center, 26 vessels have been attacked in and around the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf between Sept. 28 and Oct. 14.
