Kenya confirmed its first Ebola case after a Kenyan national who had been living in the Democratic Republic of the Congo for seven years traveled to Nairobi and tested positive for the Bundibugyo virus , BBC reported on Oct. 6. The patient received treatment at several hospitals in Congo before traveling to Kampala, Uganda, and then Nairobi, where he was taken by a relative to a hospital and later transferred to an isolation facility, where he died on Oct. 5.
