Prominent Chinese dissident account Zuotian published on X on Oct. 2 video footage of a Taiwan Coast Guard Administration vessel using a water cannon against a Chinese fishing vessel that was approaching Taiwan's Pratas Islands. The incident resulted in significant damage to the Chinese vessel's upper deck, and the Taiwanese boat crew that tied onto the Chinese vessel included one CGA member wielding what appeared to be an AK-47 or similar automatic firearm.
