U.S. President Donald Trump announced that South Korea had agreed to invest $200 billion in U.S. projects, including a $22 billion Texas liquefied natural gas project, $120 billion in eight nuclear reactor projects and $54 billion in the Alaska LNG project, Reuters reported on Sept. 30. However, South Korea's industry ministry said that "No decision has been made" on Alaska LNG, while South Korean President Lee Jae Myung said the commercial viability of this and the nuclear projects still needed to be confirmed.
