Bolivian authorities arrested on Sept. 30 the country's then-Attorney General Roger Mariaca over money laundering, drug trafficking and criminal organization charges, El Deber reported on Oct. 1. The government announced it would also arrest new Attorney General Luis Montano for obstructing investigations and noted that the police were still searching for Eduardo del Castillo, who is a member of the opposition Movement Toward Socialism party, a former minister and a former presidential candidate .
