Data from the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo showed that the total number of identified Ebola cases linked to the ongoing Bundibugyo virus outbreak has risen to 8,067, with fatalities standing at 3,901, Reuters reported on Sept. 28. The epidemic has now spread to seven distinct provinces and 63 health zones.
