Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski confirmed that U.S. and Polish officials are working on plans to establish a permanent U.S. base in Poland hosting 10,000 troops, Politico reported on Sept. 24. His comments follow those of President Karol Nawrocki, who said on Sept. 22 that the base was confirmed and would be named Fort Trump, with an announcement possible before the U.S. midterms in November.
