Taiwan's Coast Guard Administration plans to send a ship carrying 100 officers and students to the Philippines for an eight-day visit in October, Bloomberg reported on Sept. 17. The visit would include maritime law enforcement exchanges and mark the first official visit by a Taiwanese ship to the Philippines since 1974, before Manila switched diplomatic recognition from Taipei to Beijing.
