In a meeting between the Moroccan and Israeli foreign ministers and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz, Morocco and Israel agreed to upgrade diplomatic and economic ties by the end of 2026 by upgrading their diplomatic missions into full operational embassies, appointing ambassadors and establishing direct flights, Reuters reported on Sept. 16. Additionally, Morocco and Israel are set to develop economic investment agreements to avoid double taxation by the end of 2026.
