U.S. and Vietnamese companies could announce as many as 29 agreements at a Sept. 23 business conference in New York attended by Vietnamese Communist Party General Secretary and President To Lam, Reuters reported on Sept. 16. The package would span energy, aviation, technology and finance — including agreements with Chevron, Boeing, Meta, Qualcomm, Starlink and others — but many of the deals could be nonbinding, and a meeting between Lam and U.S. President Donald Trump remains unconfirmed.
