The U.S. Department of State announced that Washington will divert $52 million worth of military aid from countries in Europe and the Middle East to Panama, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia, DW reported on Sept. 15. The funds were originally allocated through the Foreign Military Financing, or FMF, program to Slovakia, North Macedonia, Tunisia and Iraq.
