Swarmer, a U.S.-based defense technology company, agreed to acquire Ukrainian Ratel Robotics, a producer of unmanned ground vehicles (UGV), in a cash-and-stock deal valued at up to $224 million, the Wall Street Journal reported on Sept. 10. The acquisition is an early move toward consolidation in an industry crowded with more than 500 producers.
