Emirati multinational logistics company DP World signed a 12 billion Kenyan shilling (about $92.7 million) agreement with Kenya-focused company GulfCap Group and Kenya's Mombasa County government in the presence of Kenyan President William Ruto to set up a special economic zone in Mombasa's Jovmu area, the Daily Nation reported Sept. 9. The zone will provide companies with access to production, warehousing, distribution and export services, with developers reportedly focused on attracting companies in the pharmaceutical, engineering, manufacturing and agroprocessing companies.
