New Zealand and Australia are developing arrangements to allow Australian pilots to operate New Zealand aircraft and for personnel from either military to maintain the other's platforms, Reuters reported Sept. 9. The announcement, made by New Zealand's air force chief, came as two Australian F-35A fighters trained in New Zealand alongside Australian and New Zealand P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft.
