Ukraine's Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko announced his resignation on Sept. 7, Dzerkalo Tyzhnia reported the same day. Kravchenko called it a political decision, just days after the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) launched Operation Carthage, targeting an alleged scheme in which Office of the Prosecutor General (OPG) officials protected a network of fraudulent call centers worth up to $3.5 million per month at its peak.
