China's coast guard stated on Sept. 3 that it conducted a third "routine law enforcement patrol" in the waters east of Taiwan. Taiwan's coast guard denounced the Chinese drills, stating it had dispatched two vessels to monitor two Chinese coast guard vessels 74 miles (109 kilometers) and 105 miles east of Taiwan's Green Island.
