Romania's economically left-wing, socially conservative Social Democratic Party, or PSD, signed a deal with the far-right Alliance for the Union of Romanians , or AUR, and S.O.S. Romania on the allocation of key parliamentary posts, stripping the center-right National Liberal Party, or PNL, and Save Romania Union, or USR, of one position each, Romania Insider reported on Sept. 2. PNL and USR said they would boycott Parliament and appeal to the Constitutional Court.
