India and Belgium agreed to deepen bilateral ties, signing a defense pact covering joint weapons production and expanded cooperation on military training, officer exchanges, R&D, joint exercises and maritime security, Bloomberg reported on Sept. 3. The two countries also aim to double bilateral trade over the next five years, with a focus on expanding cooperation in defense, clean energy, critical minerals and semiconductors.
