The U.S. House of Representatives approved a spending bill on Sept. 1 that extends the African Growth and Opportunity Act, or AGOA, through the end of 2028, The Africa Report reported on Sept. 2. The U.S. Senate already approved the bill on Aug. 8, and it is now awaiting U.S. President Donald Trump's signature.
