Icelandic Prime Minister Kristrun Frostadottir said her government would not pursue EU accession talks during its term and would consult the parliament on closing the membership bid following voters' rejection of reopening negotiations with the bloc in an Aug. 29 referendum , Politico reported on Aug. 30. Turnout was 82.5%, with 52.8% voting against and 47.2% in favor.
