Taiwan's opposition Kuomintang and Taiwan People's Party in the legislature passed a drone funding bill that allocates NT$240 billion ($7.58 billion) over six years starting in financial year 2027, Reuters reported on Aug. 27. The funding bill has a loose cap of NT$40 billion per year for drone development and procurement, with funding overseen by the economic ministry and drawn from the general budget.
