The Tigray People's Liberation Front, or TPLF, said the Ethiopian government had conducted new drone strikes on its position in the locality of Merewa in southern Tigray, Radio France Internationale reported on Aug. 11. The TPLF's claim cannot be independently verified but is credible given its recent clashes with the Ethiopian military in early August.
