China's Ministry of Commerce on Aug. 5 placed seven U.S. due diligence companies on the Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law Countermeasures List and prohibited entities in China from doing business with them. The ministry noted these restrictions were retaliation for U.S. restrictions on Chinese drone and robotics imports and for sanctions on 43 Chinese companies over potential ties to forced labor in Xinjiang.
