A suspected Russian Kh-101 cruise missile crashed in an uninhabited area of eastern Poland early July 30 during a large-scale Russian air attack on western Ukraine, causing no casualties, Reuters reported the same day. A second missile briefly entered Polish airspace before turning back into Ukraine, and Prime Minister Donald Tusk said an F-16 fighter jet had moved to intercept it and would have shot it down had it threatened populated areas.
