Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk met in Lublin, Poland, and discussed anti-missile defense cooperation, Polish investment in Ukraine, support for Ukrainians living in Poland and the bilateral historical dialogue, Dzerkalo Tyzhnia reported on July 29, citing statements by both leaders. The meeting marked Zelensky’s first visit to Poland since relations deteriorated over his decision to name a Ukrainian military unit after the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, which many Poles associate with the World War II Volhynia massacres, and Polish President Karol Nawrocki subsequently revoked Zelensky’s Order of the White Eagle, the highest state honor of Poland.
