Saudi Media Minister Salman al-Dosary and Emirati National Media Authority chairman Abdullah bin Mohammed al-Hamad issued an apparently coordinated X post praising their countries' mutual ties, while al-Dosary urged the media to conduct "responsible" reporting on their relations, Bloomberg reported on July 22. The move came as other pro-government media published images of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Emirati President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan together, and it came after months of simmering tensions and soft boycotts of one another's businesses and investments.
