Armenia's Central Election Commission said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's Civil Contract party won 49.8% of the vote in the June 7 parliamentary election, giving it a projected 64 of 101 base parliamentary seats under the D'Hondt apportionment method, Armenpress reported on June 8. The pro-Russian Strong Armenia alliance won 23.3%, and the Armenia Alliance won 9.9%.
The election commission said Prosperous Armenia received 3.996% of the vote, just below the 4% party threshold, although the results remain preliminary and subject to verification and recounts. The election followed Armenia's 2023 loss of Nagorno-Karabakh, worsening ties with Moscow and the 2025 signing of a draft peace deal with Azerbaijan. Election commission Chairman Vahagn Hovakimyan called on political forces, observers and accredited journalists to attend the recount process, saying final figures should reflect voter intent down to a single vote.
