The next day, the White House released a fact sheet that did not mention tariff reduction but confirmed the sale of 200 Boeing jets to China, as well as the sale of $17 billion in U.S. agricultural products to China for each of 2026, 2027 and 2028.

U.S. President Donald Trump visited Beijing for a summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping from May 14-15, during which the two held closed-door meetings for four and a half hours.
