Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will reportedly visit Saudi Arabia within the next 48 hours following an invitation from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Geo News reported on April 13. This development also follows the deployment of Pakistani fighter jets and other military personnel to Saudi Arabia under a bilateral defense arrangement, as announced by the Saudi defense ministry on April 11.

The visit comes after closely watched U.S.-Iran peace talks in Islamabad, which began on April 11 and continued into early April 12, marking the first direct meeting between U.S. and Iranian officials since the Iran war began on Feb. 28. Despite the intensive 21-hour discussions, negotiators did not reach a formal agreement.
