U.S. Vice President JD Vance is traveling to Pakistan to lead a U.S. delegation ahead of April 11 negotiations with Iran's delegation, which is expected to be helmed by Iranian Parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, AP reported on April 10. Meanwhile, Lebanese officials have stipulated that they will only participate in direct negotiations with Israel on April 13 if there is a ceasefire in place in Lebanon.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on April 9 that he had instructed Israeli officials to begin direct negotiations with Lebanon to discuss Hezbollah's disarmament following U.S. pressure. However, there is no Israel-Lebanon ceasefire, and Israel has conducted additional attacks against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon. Kuwait's foreign ministry accused Iran and Iranian-backed proxies of targeting Kuwaiti facilities with drone attacks on April 9.
