The U.S. Department of Defense is reportedly preparing a "final blow" on Iran that could include a ground operation and a massive bombing campaign, with the four main options likely including efforts to invade or blockade Kharg Island, invade Larak Island, seize Abu Musa Island and two smaller islands, or seize Iranian oil-exporting vessels, Axios reported on March 26. Meanwhile, after requests from Pakistan and the United States, Israel temporarily removed Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf from its target list for around four to five days.

Iran's parliament is looking to pass formal legislation to collect fees from "non-hostile vessels" transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Most countries relying on the strait will reject the plan due to security concerns and sanctions risks. However, some vessels have been willing to pay fees of up to $2 million to safely cross the strait.
