Local media sources, including Thai PBS, claimed on March 8 that Thai Premier Anutin Charnvirakul had finalized a roughly 290-seat ruling coalition for the 500-seat House of Representatives, including his Bhumjaithai Party (with 191 seats), the center-left Pheu Thai (74) and 13 smaller parties. Anutin's impending Cabinet selections suggest he will place technocrats in the finance, commerce and foreign ministries, but Bhumjaithai is set to control the interior ministry, which will facilitate its local political patronage networks.

The pro-military Klatham Party (58 seats) is reportedly not part of Anutin's coalition, depriving him of a supermajority, but the party still plans to support Anutin in the premier vote and will likely support him on some policy votes.
