Attacks in Sunni Arab towns surrounding Baghdad killed six people June 29, AFP reported. A bomb in a market in Abu Ghraib killed three people and wounded at least 10 others. In the nearby town of Garma, gunmen opened fire on a group of policemen, killing three, security and medical officials said. A bomb at a vehicle repair garage in Taji injured at least five people. And three anti-al Qaeda militiamen were wounded by a blast in Sharqat, a day after at least eight militia fighters were killed in a series of attacks. Baghdad's struggle to contain unrest will only get more difficult with time.
