The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam accepted the resignation of President Vo Van Thuong after he was found to have broken unspecified Party rules, Tuoi Tre reported on March 20. Thuong is Vietnam's second president to resign since January 2023, when his predecessor Nguyen Xuan Phuc stepped down.
