Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co. said an artificial intelligence (AI) agent flew the U.S. Air Force's VISTA X-62A experimental aircraft for 17 hours in a test carried out in December 2022, Engadget reported on Feb. 13. Lockheed Martin says this test was the first time an AI agent has engaged in such a way with a tactical aircraft.
