U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry and Saudi Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Khalid bin Abdulaziz al-Falih signed a memorandum of understanding that will allow the two countries to collaborate on technology to reduce the carbon dioxide output of fossil fuels , Asharq Al-Awsat reported Dec. 4. Perry met with Saudi King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to discuss relations between Washington and Riyadh , as well as ways to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries.
