The first round of Ukraine-Russia peace talks took place near the Belarus-Ukraine border and concluded after five hours with no immediate agreements, Al Jazeera reported Feb. 28. The talks took place as Russian troops continued attacks on major Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv and Kharkiv, leading to a new high in civilian deaths on the fifth day of Russia's invasion.
