Echelons and equipment from all four armies of Russia's Eastern Military District are being transported west from the Russian Far East, presumably to areas near the Ukrainian and Belarusian borders, the Conflict Intelligence Team reported Jan. 12. And on Jan. 11, RIA Novosti reported that Moscow expects to receive a formal, written response to its demands for "security guarantees" from the United States next week.
