Russia's Supreme Court approved a request by the country's Justice Ministry to recognize the nonexistent "international LGBT movement" as an extremist organization, The New York Times reported on Nov. 30. The court hearing was held behind closed doors, and the court will not publish the full decision on the case, while authorities did not specify what or whom exactly it considers part of the movement.
