A Moscow court ordered an immediate ban on the Telegram messaging app on April 13, following the request of Russian telecommunications watchdog Roskomnadzor to restrict the app due to security concerns, Tass reported. The ban will remain in place until Telegram complies with a Federal Security Service (FSB) request to decrypt user messages. According to the FSB, the perpetrators behind the St. Petersburg metro attack used Telegram.
