In a press conference following a meeting of the Bucharest Nine (B9) group, the presidents of Romania and Poland called for a stronger NATO presence on the alliance’s eastern flank to counter Russia's destabilizing actions in the Black Sea region, Romania Insider reported May 10. U.S. President Joe Biden, who attended the meeting via video conference, also said the United States wants closer cooperation with its allies in Central Europe and in the Baltic and the Black Sea regions.
