Three Libyan leaders — Presidential Council head Mohammad Younes Menfi, Supreme Council of State head Mohamed Takala and Benghazi-based House of Representatives speaker Aguila Saleh — announced an agreement on the need to form a unity government to oversee new elections, Reuters reported on March 10. Furthermore, they agreed to form a technical committee to resolve points of conflict and called on the international community and the U.N. mission in Libya to support the path.
