LG Energy Solution, the Seoul-based LG Group’s electric vehicle (EV) battery manufacturing company, has begun construction onl nickel processing plants in Indonesia, including a smelter and factory for manufacturing precursors, Reuters reported June 8. The new plants are part of the LG Group’s $9.8 billion investment in Indonesia to develop a local EV battery manufacturing supply chain.
