Haiti’s presidential and legislative elections, as well as a constitutional referendum, have been postponed from Sept. 26 to Nov. 7 amid the political turmoil following last month’s death of President Jovenel Moise, Deutsche Welle reported Aug. 11. The second round of elections will be held on Jan. 23.

Moise was fatally shot in Port au Prince on July 7. The vote on the proposed constitutional reform was delayed twice due to Haiti’s COVID-19 crisis.
