Greek Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos said that Greece expects to have a definite break from its bailout program when it ends in August, but anticipates continued but decreasing surveillance by its foreign creditors during the post-bailout transition period, Ekathimerini reported Feb. 2. Tsakalotos said while Greece will work toward setting its own program to be considered by voters in the 2019 parliamentary elections, it will also begin discussions with its eurozone lenders on debt relief and possible debt restructuring.
