Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has cancelled a contract with military-industrial giant Metals & Engineering Corp. (Metec), Bloomberg reported April 18. Ahmed, who took office April 2 , has said that his goal is to minimize favoritism toward his country's military. The project will now be open to bids from foreign investors.
